Bob is a dog. Of that we are sure…

What kind of dog? of that we are not so sure…

Bob has webbed feet:

So he must be a swimmer…

Bob has white speckled paws and big floppy ears…another clue…

The label on Bob’s cage at the shelter said simply: “Hound”…terribly helpful that was…but still, another clue…

Isis’ research suggests he might be a “BlueTick Hound”…famous raccoon hunters…

Phillippa’s brief review of Bob images suggests some “Spaniel”, English Springer possibly…based on paw speckles…

A helpful young man at the shelter, who was 17 and had already earned $30,000 flipping rebuilt PC’s on eBay, and was applying for MIT and CalTech, computer science major, said “he’s really big for 10 weeks, I think he’ll weigh 70 lbs. when he’s all grown up!”…the young man said this very confidently. So yet another clue, Bob will be quite large…

  1. I think Bob is an “American Shelter Dog”, a little of this a little of that… and a whole heap of cute!

  2. This just in: Peter Corbin, famous sporting art painter, photographer and sporting guide thinks that Bob definitely has some Labrador Retriever in him and although he thought maybe some English Springer Spaniel, more likely Pointer…because his hair is short and he’s got long gangly legs…pointers are pretty tall.

    1. Bob is all of the above. As to lineage, I would go with whatever Peter Corbin says. He is a guru of such matters.
